If you have a DS, then today is your lucky day. After you check out our links, drop everything, go to the store and buy the new “Space Invaders” and “Arkanoid” games. You won’t be sorry. Tuesday’s Links: Jason’s Pick - The Ten Greatest Opening Levels in Gaming Histroy: If a game doesn’t draw you in right away then you might not keep playing it. The ten games on this list don’t even allow you to doubt how great they are. Patrick’s Pick — 1UP FM: A brand-new 1UP podcast started by Philip Kollar, the awesome guy who took the reigns of 1UP News. I fully intend on crashing their podcast party in the near future. * R.T.F.A. stands for “Read The Full Article.”

Do TV-to-Game Stories Have To Suck? ‘Lost: Via Domus’ vs. ‘Sopranos’ Vs. ‘24′ Vs. Others
From: multiplayerblog.mtv.com
Post Date: 2008-03-04 16:48:37

Waaaaaaalt! Sorry. I spent this past weekend playing the four-hour adventure that is Ubisoft’s “Lost: Via Domus” (last visited by Stephen in January) You can scope out more of my critical thoughts at 1UP. As a hardcore fan (some might say “obsessed,” but I call it “passionate”) of the television show, completing “Via Domus” was a forgone conclusion, for the same reasons I made it through “24: The Game” a few years ... more

Today we bring you the first screenshots of the DS game (click to enlarge them). And we have an interview too, in case you want to know what THQ’s plans are for this game, how “SpongeBob SquarePants Drawn To Life” relates to the first “DTL,” why erasers are the enemy, and what this “SpongeBob” tit... more
The Ultimate Xbox 360 Achievement Quest Is Over… Just Days Before ‘Smash Brothers Brawl’
From: multiplayerblog.mtv.com
Post Date: 2008-03-04 12:34:10

It took 26 weeks, 59 games, and two “Super Smash Bros. Brawl” delays, but I am finally done with my 25,000 point achievement quest. It’s over. “Brawl” is coming out in less than a week, and I can have a little time to relax - detox if you will. What started as a seemingly good idea at meager 10,000 points in 10 weeks ballooned to 25,000, and 26 weeks, and forced me to explore the seedy depths of achievement whoredom. I’ve played some of the best games of my li... more
Video Interview: Why Denis Dyack Never Gave Up On “Too Human” (must watch!)
From: multiplayerblog.mtv.com
Post Date: 2008-03-04 09:34:34

If I was making a list of top 10 answers I ever got in an interview, the following honest, open, emotional video from Silicon Knights president Denis Dyack would be included. At GDC I asked him why, with more than a decade of development work done on “Too Human,” he didn’t at some point decide that this game just wasn’t meant to be. This is what he said: As with all MTV.com videos, it is not available to anyone using computers with IP addresses in Japan, the U.K. and Can... more
