Joe Biden is rightfully getting flak for claiming he was “shot at” in Iraq when it was actually a mortar fire a few hundred yards away where no one was in danger. But that level of hypocrisy is nothing new to Biden. Here is an interesting excerpt from John Kennedy’s closest aide Ted Sorenson discussing his withdrawl as nominee for Directory of the CIA for Jimmy Carter due to lack of Senate confirmation. Despite the ordeal, Sorenson never lost respect for Democrat Committee Chairman, Daniel Inouye. On the other hand, the prize for political hypocrisy in a town noted for political hypocrisy went to Joe Biden. On my first courtesy call to his office, he could not have been more enthusiastic, supportive, and gracious, calling me “the best appointment Carter has made!” At the opening of the hearing, he changed both his tune and his tone, stating: “Quite honestly, I’m not sure whether or not Mr Sorenson could be indicted or con...

Bipartisan Group Determines Threat of Losing Your Job Not Bleak Enough This Holiday Season, Decides To Add Nuclear Annihilation and Mass Hemorrhaging To Mix The U.S. can expect a nuclear attack or the old Dustin Hoffman movie Outbreak to become reality by the year 2013 according to the findings of a bi-partisan panel headed by Vice-President-elect Joe Biden. With the war in Iraq expected to die down and $1 trillion in bailout funds being spent randomly by clueless Federal officials, politici... more
Biden greets the Governors: asks Palin to help him get print space..

(No that isn’t Palin and it certainly isn’t Joe Biden, but I miss BSG, and the boyz………that is Sam Anders aka Michael Trucco….) Joe Biden got up to the microphones today and made me laugh (Jake Tapper has the video) , since the press won’t print what he says, for today I will, he said a lot of things I concur with and hope to see made into reality: BIDEN: Well, Governor, thank you very much. Ed, thanks for setting this up. Ed Rendell and ... more

Days before elections Joe Biden, the Vice-President-elect, told campaign donors: “Watch, we’re going to have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle [of Obama].” Did Joe Biden really have in mind al-Qaeda? In Britain, security officials say that there is genuine concern that during the transition period al Qaida will attempt a “spectacular” [...]... more

This is just be a short post, but wanted to write down some of my thoughts after having just watched the debate, before I started reading what others thought. First, I think everyone involved did very well.  Kudos to Gwen Ifill, who I think did an excellent job and was very evenhanded.  I also liked her jab at Biden about having been against clean coal in the past, which he denied. Senator Biden did very well also, although he seemed a bit too married to Obama talking points.  I got the ... more

In the weeks since I joined John McCain as his running mate, the Obama-Biden Democrats have used their allies in the liberal media to paint us negatively, all in an attempt to sway undecided voters. Tonight’s debate gave me the opportunity to bypass the biased media filter and communicate our shared values of reform directly to the voters.......I know millions were watching as I went toe-to-toe against Senator Biden to explain our plans. Reform Republicans will strengthen the economy, redu... more

Senator Biden had to ask some tough questions. He was shocked by the questions even though these are questions that many Americans have. ( LINK ) He says they haven’t “paid one a single penny to register one single solidary voter”. He repeated it in the same way 3 times. But the fact is they paid the $700,000 for “staging and lights”. Yea…right. Then he gets a question about “spread the wealth” and Barabara West. Biden says that Bush’... more

I look forward to a really fun, really interesting fall campaign against whichever part of HillBama wins the Democratic nomination: I understand the responsibilities I incur with this nomination, and I give you my word, I will not evade or slight a single one. Our campaign must be, and will be more than another tired debate of false promises, empty sound-bites, or useless arguments from the past that address not a single American’s concerns for their family’s security. I don’t know if any of you out there have been watching the health crsis we’re having here in Southern Nevada - the short story is that a endoscopic surgery center seems to have been reusing needles and syringes over the past four year on as many as 40,000 patients, and at least 6 people have come down with hepatitis C - a difficult to treat and possibly fatal disease. Its a really horrible story and even scared the bejabbers out of me and the Mrs as we both had endoscopic proced... more

In the end, the whole point of the liberation of Iraq was to give an opportunity - for the first time ever - to the Arab/Moslem peoples to decide for themselves what they wanted to do. When given any sort of choice, people will always choose that which makes them happy - they may be mistaken about what happiness really is and what is the best way to obtain it, but the basic human desire is to be happy. Happiness is not tradtionally bound up with killing, war, death, destruction and robbery. ... more
A Clinton/Obama Ticket?
From: blogsforvictory.com

I don’t see it happening, but Hillary probably sees political advantage in keeping it open as a possibility . Interestingly enough, Obama says it’s premature to talk about a joint ticket… Of course, as the one leading in delegates right now, and the essential front runner, he doesn’t need to use the joint ticket as a gimmick to help his campaign the way Hillary does. ... more
