P.P.S. For those of you who are in Seattle, there is a direct bus, the Sound Transit 545 that runs very frequently all evening, and has a stop in Redmond literally across the street from the pub. That makes it really easy and no driving and parking! Plus then you can have an extra pint! Bonus!

Shocked? What are you, having a whack-attack or something? Give them a little credit, dumdum. Sound Transit hadn't proved themselves when we voted on Sound Move, but that's only two years past their initial plan. California's HSR is giving themselves a three-year window to get just an initial segment done. I think they can get at least something up by then. The Seattle Times says Sound Transit Proposition 1 "retards our economy" and "hurts the poor" by boosting Washington’s sales tax to 9.5% , an unconscionable hike when "most people don’t want to get out of their cars."
