This is a quick answer, but there are several ways this can be handled. You can use a 3rd party like paypal, google payments (easiest), or you could integrate with the API of a payment gateway like authorize.net to exchange funds with a proper merchant account. Paypal payments standard -easiest Paypal payments pro -easier Authorize.net -more involved Many shopping cart platforms like OScommerce, ZenCart or Magento can handle some of the dirty work for you, but can be a pain to integrate as well.

Can do. Also, for your own reference, the going rate for that kind of work (at least in the LA area) can range anywhere from $40 to $80/hour of work, depending on experience. If you ever get into some *serious* database work (large scale, sensitive info, complex structure, etc), I’ve heard rates in the range of $100 - $150/hour are not uncommon, especially among Oracle database admins.
