By nyceve (cross-posted by permission from Brand X) I haven’t felt this demoralized and revolted in a long time.  You might feel some outrage once you read about the latest insurance industry assault on the American people. "Speculators outside of the food industry pouring money into financial mechanisms in the commodity markets could be cause for concern" In a far-reaching report on global food prices , the UN questions... more

Last night, as I sat at my computer, an unholy stench came into the house and offended my olfactory nerves.  It smelt of sewage, and something worse, but it seemed to come from outside.  We have skunks in the neighborhood, and raccoons, so I assumed one of them had died or otherwise made some kind of mess.  As it turns out. it was something far worse, and profoundly sad. This morning I learned that Ernie, the crazy hermit who lived across the street, died some time between We... more

From: EENRBlog.com
Post Date: 2008-05-29 18:11:12

Is this a Judas move? So asks Bill O’Reilly: Milder reactions have emanated from the White House, ranging from being "puzzled", intimating that McClellan didn’t write this book because it "doesn’t sound like him, it sounds like a left-wing blogger", that this is an "out of body experience", that McClellan was "disgruntled", that "something dramatically has changed", that the editor "tweaked some things in the past few months" and "wrote a lot of it"... .... more
