I’m sitting on the dock of the bay watching…some repairs to my old boat and the wind is howling through the rigging and big rain clouds are piling in from the west. All of which reminds us that this has been one of the most meteorologically unstable Augusts in the British Isles for years with rain and wind a-plenty and very little settled or summery weather. Who would bet against rain at Spa? That is just what we need at arguably the greatest race track of them all. The forecast for this week is - to use the official terminology - “crap” and there must be a strong likelihood it will “hold” into the weekend.
