I am a proponent of razor sharp photography. That’s an outcome easier to strive for than achieve! Mainly it means shooting with a very fast shutter so even the tiniest photographer shake is forgiven. I used the word "mainly" because there are times blur is beautiful and I’m reminded of that by the exhibit on display at SmashingMagazine.com . It’s called "45 Beautiful Motion Blur Photos" and they are sweet. Content suppressed by ://URLFAN, for full article visit source

120hz and Motion BlurFrom: avsforum.com Post Date: 2008-11-06 00:18:28 Ok so I’m getting a new Bravia, and its either going to be a V4100 or W4100. I know how Motionflow works and how it eliminates motion blur. Turning Motionflow on does introduce some lag, which I dont want.
My question is does 120hz by itself (motion enhancer turned off) do anything to reduce motion blur? It seems to me that it shouldnt, since its repeating the same frame 4 times (for a 30fps game), which doesn’t get rid of the sample and hold effect at all, right? And you already know what kind of photos look great with motion blur:
High-speed sports Busy streets Small children wrestling an alligator atop a speeding train
But well bet you hadnt thought of using it for slow-moving subjects.

Man, Google’s been put through the rumour mill lately, being ground up into a fine Google grist. To wit, the search/advertising/world-domination company is being accused of giving itself an unfair advantage when posting ads for itself through its AdSense system; and also that same system is being used on Al Qaeda and Hezbollah sites, meaning the terrorists are generating income from Google .

I downloaded and surfed around with the custom-built Nintendo Wii Web browser today, officially labeled the Internet Channel Trial Version. I was skeptical going in, but found it is fun and extremely easy to use. I was very impressed with how well-designed it was for making the most of the Wii wand controller. This sweet bit o’ code wasn’t created totally from scratch for Nintendo and the Wii, rather those fine folks at Opera in Norway took the Linux-based core built for Ope... more
