The general consensus is….maybe. Nobody is saying that Hillary went out of her way to do Obama any favors, but she didn’t embarrass him either. Ann Althouse liveblogged the entire evening, Michelle Malkin liveblogged just Hillary’s speech in a more detailed (and meaner) fashion. The AP is of course trying to spin it like everything is now hunky-dory in the Democratic party. The true test is to see if New Bill sticks around for Obama’s speech. If he actually bails, then you’ll have your answer. UPDATE - Team McCain was a bit underwhelmed by Hillary’s speech. “Senator Clinton ran her presidential campaign making clear that Barack Obama is not prepared to lead as commander in chief. Nowhere tonight did she alter that assessment. Nowhere tonight did she say that Barack Obama is ready to lead.
