Gadget magazine T3 have managed to get a great hands-on with the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1. The videos show this new curvy sliding QWERTY device in action, with the browser, main screen and clock getting a quick demo. The magazine also seem to have confirmation that the Xperia X1 will be delayed slightly, but will appear in shops ready for Christmas. A November date has been set, and - unless we’re reading their story wrong - it looks like Three will be picking up the device too. If correct, this will be the second UK network to carry it after Orange , who are also rumoured to be selling it. Link - T3.com Credit - Johnny De’Silva Read on and add your comments

10 thoughts on the Xperia X1
From: mediabistro.com
Post Date: 2008-11-20 08:07:12

Now that I’ve been carrying it for a bit, here’s a few more thoughts. 1. 800x480 screen res is amazing. It’s hard to use anything with lower resolution now. I’m still amazed at how razor sharp text and graphics are. 2. Battery life is excellent. Even with 3G running and good use of network heavy applications like the Sling player, I have no problems making it through the day. 3. Panel UI works. I wasn’t sure I’d like this but it’s ... more

Random Feed wrote an interesting post today on Here’s a quick excerpt In this issue of Claud talks Gadgets, I’ll be sharing the male and female experiences of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 phone. The exact same phone, but two rather different user experience. First let me introduce the other user, Abang Yuz! He’s my other half and is now the owner of the Xperia X1. They’re holding the Orange Partner Camp as part of their Partner programme which provides a fast start towards the commercialisation of mobile apps, content and solutions. A lot of you have been emailing me regarding the superb kleinweder website which offers exquisitely designed homescreens for your Smartphone. There was news earlier this week regarding a notice that Kleinweder had received from Microsoft advising him to pull down anything bearing the Microsoft logo or associated trademarks. Whilst this was true it appears that this only referred to the modification and redesign of those logos within the homescreen. As kl1wdr - who runs the site - states...... more

This week it’s a couple of ladies who might be having a "monthly issue" - they get more and more annoyed with each other and things get completely out of control. As usual you just need to log in, click "Downloads" and then put it on your PC. Then just copy it to your phone and play with Windows Media Player. Link - PMT ... more
