Google added text-to-speech capabilities to some Knol articles, like the one titled “ File Formats in Digital Photography ”. You can download the MP3 as well as hit a Listen button in the top right. The quality of the speech output – I strongly suppose it’s all a software reading indeed, but asked Google for more background info in any case – is amazing. Macbeach in the comments at Google Operating System writes, “This is the best text-to-speech I’ve ever heard."*
Knol’s help page on the subject explains, “We are experimenting with Audio Playback as an option for some knols, starting with a handful of English language featured knols ... If this experiment is successful, we may make Audio Playback available to more knols in additional languages, and additional features.”

Google Alerts tiene una nueva opción: feeds . Ahora podemos elegir entre recibir nuestras alertas como hasta ahora, por correo, o bien emplear los feeds en su lugar.
Para mi esto es mucho más cómodo, ya que podemos seguirlas con nuestro agregador de feeds, y evitar la normal inundación de la bandeja de entrada del correo.
Como viene siendo habitual en Google, las url de los feeds generados son algo crÃpticas. Pero es la única manera de suscribirse a alertas de búsquedas web.... more

A while back, I tried Google Docs for a while, really liked the concept of online sharing of files with crit partners....until I actually read the TOS.
However, hubby bought me MS Office today, and in the process of installing it, I learned about Workspace. It seems to be everything I wanted in Google Docs without the pesky "we own anything you put into our software."
So, has anyone used Workspace? Care to share your experience?

Sencillamente impresionante. Aun no ha pasado una semana desde que salió a la venta, y ya se ha podido desbloquear. LA forma ha sido algo extraña. Se consigue mediante un código de 8 cifras, que puede ser adquirido al precio de 23 dólares, además de proporcionar el numero IMEI del aparato.

Entering site:hrw.org into Google China for a long time resulted in a censorship notice instead of a link to the Human Rights Watch organization (Google went live with a self-censored Google.cn in January 2006).
