I am completely on the sprouted, flourless bread train. I love it. However, the sprouted pasta was kinda creeping me out. Still, I couldn’t resist trying it so I bought a bag and hoped for the best. Here is a photo of the pasta before it was cooked: Here is a photo of the pasta after it was cooked: (btw, sprouted pasta cooks in just 6-8 minutes!) The thickness of the pasta reminded me of “ egg noodles ” so I whipped up a healthy vegan stroganoff to go with it. The stroganoff recipe will be in my upcoming cookbook… sorry to tease! Because orange is cool. As much as I’d like to claim the genius behind this “idea,” I can’t. Whole Wheat Banana Pancakes

We use VWAV’s pancake recipe on p. 31 to make these babies. The trick is to use whole wheat pastry flour but do not sift it! I also use 1 tbsp safflower or melted coconut oil instead of the canola oil called for. Coconut and Safflower are the only oils that should be used in frying. (Go here for more info on oils). We also just mix everything in the bowl together — no sense dirtying up extra bowls… and let the batter sit for at least 10 minutes! It makes all the diff... more
