I am not the type of person to dance around this suggestion with a statement of “let’s agree to disagree”, as far as I am concerned, anyone who suggests this is at least a little naive. I have a very long memory when it comes to this type of action from Electronic Arts. Back in 1995 a little UK company you may have heard of by the name of Bullfrog, co-founded by Peter Molyneux of Lionhead Studios, were snapped up by EA. This was the beginning of the end for Bullfrog. Let’s have a look at some of the games Bullfrog released pre-EA: Populous (and Populous II) Powermonger Syndicate Magic Carpet Theme Park Not a bad line-up, eh? Introduction I remember a time when I was the only member of TTB who liked Linux. I used to hide away in a dark corner, laptop in hand, compiling a kernel or tweaking my xorg.conf. I also ran a fairly successful Linux blog that kind of lost its direction. Those were the days. These days I don’t need to hide my open source hippie-ness away, as the other two have seen the light and are using Linux in a semi-regular way. So I think it’s acceptable for me to post a Linux-... more

The Financial Times are reporting that Microsoft are in talks with their arch-rivals (that’d be Sony) about a Blu-Ray drive for the Xbox 360. I’m presuming that what with the low data rates of BD, and Sony wanting to keep their advantage in the high definition player market, we’re probably talking about an external device here rather than something internal. Take a look at the original story here , which seems to actually contain no interesting information whats... more

They were created by the incredibly talented France Cadet , a rather eccentric French lady who bill... more

What you see here is the rather lame (well, it’s devoid of any gameplay, but hey, it has some violence so I guess that’s OK) teaser trailer for the upcoming Xbox Live Arcade game Happy Tree Friends: False Alarm. By “upcoming”, I mean that it’ll be hitting your 360 sometime in spring of this year, so it’ll hopefully be around sooner than you think. From the screenshot gallery over at Xbox 360 Fanboy , the game looks to be a wandery-aroundy ... more
