It is my pleasure to announce in this Journal the big unveiling of The Siegel & Shuster Society, which Mr. G is supporting, and its attempt to save the house where Superman was created. You can see all the details at their charitable website www.OrdinaryPeopleChangeTheWorld.com . Brad Meltzer writes: As you’ll see from the list of people involved, this isn’t about DC or Marvel. This isn’t about competition. It’s about the comic community as a whole, pulling together for a place that launched so many of our best dreams. The first draft of Mr. G’s Waterstones story card is currently up for auction on ebay to benefit the cause.

We aren’t quite there yet, but I’m finally going to get to see it anyway, and will report back. Then home on Tuesday. Too ... more

I’m still proofreading the second volume of ABSOLUTE SANDMAN. It’s not just proofreading the comics -- I just finished going through the script for Sandman 23 -- the first time I’d read it since I wrote it back in 1989... Which means I’m not writing the story of how "Ivory Bill" Stiteler and I figured out what was wrong with the house network (unsurprisingly it sort of had something to do with the photo back in this icy entry ), and I’m barely blogging ... more
