The Star tries out a new look

The Dow plunged 777 points yesterday.   That fact was noted on Page A-1 of The Star today.  But the other figures were off.   There, the Dow open says 11,139.62, and the close 10,404.71 making a difference of 734.91, not 777.   Someone should have done the math on those numbers.  A correction will run on A-2 tomorrow. ... more

In a recent report to the CRTC, the CBC argues that the New Media — Internet, iPods, etc. —  is not a threat to traditional media in Canada and there’s not much of a point in creating content for it.
