The introduction is a little profound, even psychologically exploratory for an intro to a post about a party, but I think most of us can relate to these words.
We live in interesting times and this dizzy life of ours is spinning us right into relevancy.
I’ve been working in tech for a long, long time. I grew up in Southern California before I moved to Silicon Valley in 95 to be part of rapidly evolving tech culture. Do you know how many times I tried to contribute back to the LA tech economy in Web 1.0? More than I can count. But it never stuck. And, it just didn’t feel right.

Facebook has quietly rolled out an interesting feature that’s tucked away on the lower right-hand side of your “home” page.
It’s simply called “People You May Know” and is a way of reminding us that we may have friends or associates on Facebook that we may have forgotten or assumed were not online. And you know what, it works!

Wikipedia , the Interweb’s eight most popular Web site, was granted a $3 million donation from Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.
According to the press release, the money will support Wikimedia’s organizational development and help to increase the quality of its content and the reach of its services.
According to me, I’d like to see the money hone right in on the quality and accuracy of the content and its contributors. So much of what I read is wrong. And... more

Just in case you were going through FriendFeed withdrawals, Bret Taylor over at FF introduced a new update. And, it’s not insignificant. With FF, you now have the ability to reply to a friend’s Twitter update within the FriendFeed stream and have it appear as an “@” reply in Twitter.
