I’ve read numerous threads about what exactly is the best Antivirus, and in the end much of it comes down to personal preference. The list below is what I think is most easy to use, deals with the infection effectively and the detection rates.

1. AVG Free ( http://free.avg.com/ )
AVG Free is No. 1 on my list because it is a very well rounded AV, containing protection against most kinds of infections, not including protection from rookits. (which Avira has) The detection rate is slightly behind Avira, but it still a very good AV. Personally, the user interface of AVG is the most easy to use and perfect for users ranging from advanced to beginners. It is the most popular free AV for a reason. I personally used AVG for a long period of time until I moved onto a paid AV.
2. Avira AntiVir Personal Edition ( http://www.free-av.com/ )

I bought an XFX pci TV tuner, put it in my old windows 2000 computer, and for some reason it disables the secondary IDE slot. At first it was disabling my hard drive, then I switched the cables, and it was disabling my CD drive. I tried removing other PCI devices also, but it still does it.

I’m having a serious problem with rond.starsdoor.com popups as they are starting to take over my pc... I left my pc on downloading a couple of torrents while I went out for a jog and came back with a dozen popups and even shortcuts to partypoker on my desktop... I have no idea how to go about getting rid of it all but have gathered that I need a Hijackthis log and a Combofix log so Im posting them below... any help would be greatly appreciated...
