Readers, you may have noticed we got a new comments system this week. Learn how it works , and then weigh in our slew of stories: * Lead “ Diablo III ” designer Jay Wilson judged fan-made screenshots (which was referenced by Penny Arcade ), explained why the Necromancer class was cut and talked about the possibility of a new, improved secret cow level. * After all the controversy, “Diablo III” art director Brian Morrisroe resigned (for reasons allegedly unrelated to rainbows). * BioWare revealed the company is considering more “Mass Effect” DLC , and they also shed light on some new “Dragon Age” details . * Patrick Klepek covered the protest outside Ubisoft’s San Francisco offices , where Iraq veterans and others spoke out against the publisher’s ties to the “ America’s Army ” series. See photos from the protest here . * L...

Time for a few more select GameSetLinks, headed by another fun hiphop and gaming-related link-list from Examiner.com - although one that curses my hero Parappa The Rapper, so must presumably be completely wrong. Also hanging out in here - the disturbingly graphic Bayonetta, silly Halloween costumes, some Rockstar Vancouver shenanigans you might have missed, how physics in games matter, and plenty more good stuff. XNA Community Games
From: konsolentreff.net
Post Date: 2008-11-14 18:50:18

XNA COMMUNITY GAMES
From: radarnation.gamesradar.com
Post Date: 2008-11-18 23:00:21

Everyone by now should be aware of the XNA program set up by Microsoft. So far, the games list is looking interesting, but sparsely intriguing. I think it’d be cool if the GamesRadar (and especially the TalkRadar) community shared their thoughts on the games, the program. What do you think? Is this a good idea overall? Have you seen anything worthwhile? Do you have a friend working on one that you know will sell a billion copies? Anything that you’re working on? Origina... more
In-game trade.
From: diablofans.com

What do you think, what kind of innovation Diablo III needs in the trade system? I think one of the most important things is to crowd out the d2jsp forum gold system, what killed the in-game trading, and made the average items more worthless. That system was optimized to Diablo II, and you can see, that wasn’t successful in other games. I think a wowlike auction house system would solve this problem. I am one of those people who don’t want to get a Diablo 3 what has many simi... more

MTV Multiplayer recently spoke with Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime in regards to the business of World of Warcraft, in which he speaks about their goal for releasing game expansions on an annual basis”. He went on to talk about Diablo 3 expansions: Quote: “In terms of expansions, I think a little bit more frequently is probably good with sort of the goal to get closer to an annual expansion. But I think it really depends on what content you put in the expansion. I don&#... more

From: multiplayerblog.mtv.com

How do those little games tucked inside big games get made? I started publishing answers to that question earlier this month, when I ran my interview with “BioShock”’s Dorian Hart about that game’s hacking mini-game. Next up is Jake Sones , the developer at Insomniac Games chiefly responsible for the hacking mini-game in the PlayStation 3’s “ Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction . The game is pretty simple. The player uses the Sixaxis ... more

Request To EA: Please Put ‘Mass Effect’ Developer BioWare On A ‘Godfather’ Sequel
From: multiplayerblog.mtv.com
Post Date: 2007-11-29 07:05:09

I played EA’s “ Godfather ” game last year. And while it was a solid enough interpretation of the “ Grand Theft Auto ” open-world formula, it did not feel much like I was playing ”The Godfather” movie. I started playing BioWare’s “ Mass Effect ” a few weeks ago. And, well, I’m only exaggerating a little when I say it felt a little like I was playing “The Godfather” movie. How “Godfather” was &... more
