Another day, another wrap up. Things are still changing quickly, and there are so many things happening all at once that I really do feel a strong urge to comment on some of the more thought provocing or just plain funny posts.
Today there will be something on the ad market slowdown, the quality vs. quantity discussion on newspapers doing online video and finally a small piece of online video itself explaining how to come to grips with ROI on your marketing investment.

Om Malik is spot on with this one. Advertising alone never could fund the number of startups betting on advertisers to be their business model. We knew it back then, because competition was and is so fierce for every cent spent, and we especially know it now given the implosion in the worlds financial markets.

If you are somehow engaged in new medie ventures, it is obvious asking yourself how the deep worldwide financial crisis is going to affect you, your company and the service(s), you provide.

I remember about 5-6 years ago when mobile SMS premium services started out. There was no limit to the potential, and people setting up gateways were already spending the gold they had yet to collect from charging hapless mobile users endless amounts of micro-amounts for logos, ringtones, jokes etc.
