Our staff and students are getting used to Office 2007, thanks to our district-wide rollout this year, and I have to say it seems to be going well. Both staff and students are adjusting to the new interface without much difficulty, but, as almost everyone who has used the new software will attest, there are still times when you NEED to find a particular command and just CAN’T. To solve those problems, Microsoft has published wonderful interactive Guides to the Office 2007 system user interface . Brilliant! Let’s take a look at the guide for Word 2007 :
Here’s the opening screen, you press Start to begin…
… and you are presented with a “Live” Word 2003 screen, with fully clickable menus. Just navigate to the command you are looking for (in this example, Edit | Paste | Special):
… you’ll first see a help balloon with the exact TEXT instructions on how to get to the same feature in Word...

I really enjoy finding (and writing about) the web’s best, most creative, cutting-edge and innovative K-8 edtech resources.
