Wow August was packed. I’ve trimmed off all but my best bookmarks for this one. Hope you find some gems in here. Bash Keyboard Shortcuts for Bash [the How-To Geek] - I have found many of the shortcuts here really helpful and it has totally made me more productive. CSS Override Inline Styles from the Stylesheet [Standards for Life] - Natalie Jost came up with a brilliant way to override inline styles from a stylesheet for IE7+, Firefox, Opera, and Safari. You’ll definitely want to save this technique for later. I wonder if this will work for Google Chrome… 7 Principles Of Clean And Optimized CSS Code [Smashing Magazine] - Some very good things to consider while writing and maintaining your CSS. For those of you who haven’t seen this in the news lately, there is a new kid in web-development-tools town. A new extension for Firebug called Firecookie that allows you to Create, Read, Update, and Delete your stored cookies for the site you are viewing. I know there are other tools out there but even at version 0.0.4 I think that this one is one to watch. Features Firecookie adds a new tab to Firebug with a list of cookies for the current site. A rarely used CSS property that can be very useful given the right circumstances is the table-layout property. It has great rendering speed benefit when used properly.
