It looks like Timothy Olyphant has scored himself another lead in A Perfect Getaway. We get wind of this casting and the following plot synopsis from our friends at Monsters And Critics:
Hitman’s Timothy Olyphant has signed to star in A Perfect Getaway for Relativity Media. MGM is set to distribute the action thriller. Variety reports the film is being directed by David Twohy (The Fugitive) and is based on his screenplay. The story follows a newlywed couple who have an encounter with two hikers. It is set to start shooting March 17th in Puerto Rico.
Tim was solid in Deadwood, but seemed horribly awkward when he played the lead in Hitman. It could have been due to direction, the script or just overall apathy regarding the project; I am grasping at straws trying to find a reason but only the people involved know the truth. I do not dislike Olyphant, and I am interested in seeing him play the lead in another project so we are able to compare properly.

Timothy Olyphant, star of HBO’s Deadwood and 2007’s Live Free or Die Hard, has signed on to star in The Crazies, the upcoming remake of the George A. Romero horror flick which Breck Eisner (Sahara) is directing.
The story revolves around the inhabitants of a small Kansas town who are beset by death and insanity after a plane crash lets loose a secret biological weapon into the water supply. Olyphant is playing the town’s sheriff.
