I was playing a bit with Blender . One of the newer features is fluid simulation . It can be used to animate different kinds of fluids. Results, after some playing with a tutorial (clickable): A drop of water falling on the edge of a glass: An incoming flow of water, seperated by the glass:

Note that this is a personal post, not representing the RIPE NCC in any way. Currently an ASN is 16-bits, allowing 65536 distinct ASes to exist (ignoring reserved numbers). About 10-12 a day are allocated and we have about 28000 left. That means that we’ll be out of AS numbers somewhere in 2010-2013. And that would be a problem.
