Mr. Super has been sending me updates from the Rules and Bylaws Committee. Here are his first few: Outside crowds have started to die down. Nearly all rally signs were professionally made- not home made. No significant Obama presence. A lot of activists have taken to the lobby and are watching the mtg on big screens. They are largely well behaved. In the room- Nelson testifying. Partisan audience supporting him.

For some reason, one particular post in from June of 2006 became a favorite target of spambots advertising pornography. The “comments” that were posted would not have been a problem since the post was so old, except that they all showed up in the “recent comments” section on the side bar. Some of these were up for several hours before I was able to delete them, so if any of you were offended by them, I am sorry. I went back and turned off the ability to comment on that... more

The other day, I wroteÂ a post where I said that despite John McCain’s personal popularity, local Republicans still seem to be in trouble. At least one poster questioned my sanity when I said that Bob Lord seems to have a chance against John Shadegg , despite the overwhelming Republican registration in the district.
