Two Fort Drum soldiers absent without leave from the Army have been arrested in Columbus, Ohio on first degree murder charges.
The two were taken into custody without incident after a manhunt spanning four states including New York.
Daniel Smith, 22, and Steven “Mo” Wilson, 19 are accused of murdering a pastor in West Virginia.

According to the Herald-Dispatch , first degree murder warrants have been issued for two soldiers who are considered AWOL from Fort Drum.
Officials say Daniel Smith, 22, and Steven “Mo” Wilson, 19, are wanted in connection to the death of Reverend Mark McCalla, who was shot on June 19.
The article states that Smith and Wilson were recently stationed at Fort Drum, but left in the past months.
The Army installation is the suspects’ last known ties to the North Country area and it is unknown why they left.
Local authorities are asked to be on the lookout for the two individuals.

Cecil B. Pye, 76, of County Route 4, died March 10, Genesis Healthcare of Northern New York.
He was born February 28, 1931, in Rochester, the son of Cecil and Eleanor Pye and graduated for Rochester School.
He married Beverly Adams, September of 1951, that marriage end in divorce.
He later remarried Beverly Adams on December 31, 1994.
Mr. Pye served in the US Air Force from 1951 to 1959, retiring as Staff Sergeant.

Robert Noble Davis, age 83, of Edwards, died March 10, 2008 at his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.Mr. Davis was born on May 30, 1924 in the Carthage Hospital, the son of the late Glen L. and Vera K. (Noble) Davis.

Mary M. Fitzpatrick, 79, of Madison St., Chaumont, died March 9, at Samaritan Keep Nursing Home where she had been a resident since September 25, 2007. She was born August 16, 1928, in Watertown, the daughter of Clarence Sr. and Catherine Lalonde Lephart. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1946.
She married Lee Fitzpatrick, August 16, 1953, at Holy Family Church Watertown, by Rev. Farrell.
Mr. Fitzpatrick died January 2, 1997.
