This is the same person... just saying that I am using Windows XP with SP3, which I was able to install using a manual method; I encountered the same error when attempting to install in through Windows Update.

Using Windows Complete PC Back and Restore

On my Thinkpad laptop I created a backup using the Windows Complete PC Backup option on Vista Business. Now I want to restore this backup on my laptop. When I boot to Advanced Boot Options or use the Vista DVD and click on Windows Complete PC Restore it says it cannot find my backup. My backup is on a Seagate External Drive.
