This is a really funny story .
Vendors and presenters from various eco-friendly groups, including Bullfrog Power, CO2 Reduction Edmonton and the local solar energy society, crammed into a lone tent in Hawrelak Park after a blizzard forced them to abandon their original locations.
Ha. Ha ha. That’s funny.
But don’t worry, the soldiers in the movement went on despite the blizzard.
“Obviously we’ll have fewer people than we would have liked, but to cancel an Earth Day event because of weather would kind of be the antithesis of what this is all about,” said organizer Janice Boudreau.
“This isn’t about celebrating just the parts of the Earth that we like, it’s about celebrating all of it.
Yeah. It’s celebrating all of it even if it has been one of the colder and snowier winters in a long time and all that. And hey, while we’re at it, let’s not let facts get in the way of our arguments…lol.
And in relat...

I’m Glad Sen Clegg Is A RepublicanFrom: gryffynz.asilgrif.org

After all, think of all the damage he would do if he wasn’t.
After Clegg opted for weight-loss surgery in September, he has lost more than 100 pounds and seen his weight-related health problems recede. Now, the slimmer, healthier Clegg has become a persuasive champion of a bill that would require the state’s health insurers to pay for surgeries like his in appropriate patients.

And they’ve pretty much all said no to new spending and taxes .
It was a night to say no.
Hopkinton voters rejected plans to hire a town manager and shrink the board of selectmen.
Allenstown refused to upgrade the Suncook wastewater treatment plant.
Epsom voters defeated spending requests from the police and fire departments and for repairs to flood-damaged roads. And they voted down the town and school budgets.
Weare voters rejected their budget - as well as a new public works...

I’m sure we all know the story by now, but I’m a bit surprised that Elliot Spitzer is taking so long to resign.
A top state official said New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer will resign effective Monday after being linked to a prostitution ring.
I mean, talk about dragging your family through the mud. And my only question is, why is he waiting to resign? If he were prosecuting a criminal and pulled the stunt he’s pulling now, he’d be on tv railing against the person.
I g...

Don’t get me wrong, I think this story is great and shows what can happen in America.
Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore left the White House seven years ago with less than $2 million in assets, including a Virginia home and the family farm in Tennessee. Now he’s making enough to put $35 million in hedge funds and other private partnerships.
Well, I wonder if he’s got the same investments in commodities that Hillary had?
In the last personal finance report he filed as ...
