A movie news and reviews website named Latino Review has a pretty interesting lead article on the front page right now, titled “Why both Variety and The Hollywood Reporter TOTALLY SUCK!” Here’s an extended excerpt, although there is much more in the full piece:

As a precaution, when we broke the story we even emailed Borys Kit over at The Hollywoo...

The TV-Theatrical mediation effort collapsed at about 1 A.M. Saturday, well after bedtime for most of those who write about the biz and labor. So the stories and analysis may be a bit slow coming in. The Hollywood Reporter  was one of the first.  We’ll add more as they come in. ... more

Webcams, especially the cheaper ones, usually have problems in low light areas. The Hollywood Web Gear however, gives you both a webcam and USB powered light to make you shine. To add a further sense of self importance the camera and light are modeled after the vintage lighting used in old movies.
The camera supports both Windows and Mac operating systems. There is no listed resolution for the camera and coupled with the fact that the camera is only $18 and the light ... more

Yesterday, Adam Ostrow at Mashable asked, “Is Twitter About to Have a Big Spam Problem?” Well, I wouldn’t yet call it “big,” but the problem is already here. Ostrow wrote:

Today Blog P.I. launches a new feature, or what I hope will actually become one: a look at the Top 10 most-edited pages on the English-language Wikipedia for the past week, with an explanation for why each page made the top ten. Some will be obvious to anyone who keeps tabs on current events, so rather than giving a terse “duh” I’ll endeavor to pull a non-obvious detail or amusing factoid from the edit history.
This would be completely impossible without WikiRage , an on... more
Once, this new thing called blogosphere reshaped the 2004 presidential campaign. And then, this new thing called YouTube influenced several contests in the 2006 midterms. So what’s next? Could Twitter change the outcome of the 2008 White House race?
Probably not just yet, but one thing is clear: What’s said on Twitter does not stay on Twitter. My former Hotline colleague Jonathan Martin reports :
An aide to John McCain was suspended from the campaign today for blasting out ... more
