Hmm… When using WordPress 2.5.2’s media uploads I can upload images from Firefox 3 when running Vista. But I can’t when running FF3 from Ubuntu. Last I checked they’re running the same extensions. No luck from Opera/Linux either. With either case, I end up with an HTTP error. Guess I have some research to do. Switching to Linux without Windows Live Writer is hard enough, but if I can’t upload images with the built-in editor it’ll sure get harder! If I have to guess, I’ll guess Flash based on this support forum post … that’s where I’ll start, at any rate. Possibly Related Posts Grrr… I’m about to surrender (3) Firefox Not Really Free? Author: Jobstane Posted: Wed Nov 12, 2008 7:49 pm (GMT -8) Well I am not trying to lose any members. I am trying to avoid members not getting credit. I never said that FireFox is doing anything wrong but I will be a bad owner if I knew there was a problem and said nothing while I work on it. If you notice in my message it said until further notice, meaning that I am trying to fix the problem. If people use firefox on my site I can’t stop them. Although if they use firefox and... more

Sorry Twitter But It’s You, Not Me.
From: feeds.feedburner.com

A month ago I was pondering social bankruptcy , but since then I really hadn’t made any changes–until today. The recent and frequent twitter outages have inspired me to give that service up cold turkey. Outages = aggravation. Who needs aggravation? Not me. I’ve seen a lot of folks excuse or apologize for the twitter outages by trotting out the “well, it is free” argument. Frankly, I call bunk on that. But, I’ll spare you my longwinded and rambling thou... more
Firefox 3 RC1 Printing Garbage
From: feeds.feedburner.com
Post Date: 2008-05-20 13:05:34

Yes, I realize this is the third FF3 post in a row, but It’s pretty much a “lazyweb” cry for help… When I print from Firefox 3 RC1, I get garbage: I’ve tried several printers. Not running any add-ons. Clean install of XP SP3 and FF3 RC1 is the first version of Firefox to ever go on this machine. Anyone else had similar issues by chance? I’m not quite sure how to tackle this one. [ Updated ] Wonder if I have an encoding issue or have found a real ... more
Firefox 3: Most Visited
From: feeds.feedburner.com
Post Date: 2008-05-18 19:01:06

I thought the new location bar stuff was my favorite new Firefox 3 feature. While still a contender, it turns out I have a new fave — the “Most Visited” toolbar menu. You can see it quietly lurking at the left side of the bookmarks toolbar: I think it was there when I was trying the betas, but I don’t recall ever actually using it. Now, after just 24 hours of using Release Candidate 1 , I’m already in love with it. It’s dynamic. It changes over tim... more
Firefox 3 Release Candidate 1 Out
From: feeds.feedburner.com

Firefox 3 RC1 is now available. You want it just to enjoy the new location bar. It rocks. Really. Question for the day: I’ve heard lots of people mention how much faster it is. Are they considering the lack of add-ons compatible with FF3? FF2 is a lot faster without add-ons loaded too! Reckon I’ll go grab Nightly Tester Tools so I can use my beloved add-ons. Oh, and delicious has a beta add-on for FF3 already out. Possibly Related Posts Firefox & del.icio.... more
