Talk about launching “sometime soon.” Just yesterday the team at Wordpress announced that they had submitted their Wordpress iPhone application to the AppStore for distribution to iPhones and iPhone 3G'ers with an itch for mobile blogging. This day, I found a nice little surprise in the AppStore. Wordpress for iPhone is live!
The native application for the iPhone only works with newer versions of Wordpress (v2.5.1 and newer), so those of you out there with stand-alone Wordpress installations will want to update your platform to the latest version. And, seeing as how the application resides on your iPhone or iPhone 3G, it's leaps and bounds more flexible and useful than the iPhone-optimized Wordpress interface .

This was fast. About three weeks ago we wrote about it and now it's finished. I'm talking about Nokia acquiring Plazes, a privately-owned start-up company of 13 people with its principal operations in Berlin.
According to the official release, by acquiring Plazes, Nokia will be able to “extend its context-based service offering with social presence and time-based activity planning features.”
Or to put it in other words, integrate it into Ovi. Can't wait to see how...
