wow three day weekends are just AWESOME.

This weekend was supposed to be fun and relaxing. It’s Labor Day! The unofficial end of Summer! A three-day weekend! We had plans for most of the weekend, but still, THREE DAYS! It all stretched out in front of us and I was very much looking forward to it. Now, before I delve into the ridiculousness of this weekend, mostly, we DID have a good time. But unfortunately it was overshadowed by puke in my car, a toddler who refused to sleep at night, and two very, very tired parents. Saturday we had a boating afternoon with Dan’s dad. (His mom went to a concert with some friends, so we thought we’d keep him company while he was a Bachelor for the day!) It was a gorgeous day- sunny and not humid, though it was a little hot in the sunshine. We spent some time wandering around the Point, and then got back in the boat to cross the river to check out the Rib Fest .
