i dont think ive had quite as many bad experiences with book sellers as gen from bookride but i do remember one used shop in kingston this wonderfully labyrinthine little place with books piled in all directions and cats and newspaper clippings and all the rest. i found an old book about something or other cant remember what that i thought my girlfriend might like. it h......

boingboing had a blurb from bookride about ricky jays cards as weapons. it is worth noting that there is also a hardback of the book that is much prized and dealers who are not mad sometimes ask 1000 or more for it although a cautious punter could probably pick one up in the 600 to 800 range in a jacket. i think i paid 30 for my pristine hardback copy......
