I started a rant, but it’s getting long due to me having to explain things in detail, and it’s a convoluted mess to explain anyway. Anytime I am ranting about elected officials and ignorant voters, that tends to be the case. Add in paper ballots and electronic voting machines, as well as terms such as “des elected 221; and “emphasis voting” … well, convoluted m...... [Show More]

Over the last few days there have been several articles that have crystallized the problems the GOP in Texas is having post election. The Texas GOP is beginning to look like a bunch of AIG Executives. Their caucus is getting together with corporate lobbyists, at a posh spa retreat just South of Austin, paid for by corporate lobbyists, to plot strategy for the upcoming session. The AP’s...... I found a most interesting essay, by Sara Robinson, that outlines the pre-conditions for a revolution, which could fairly describe the election of Barack Obama. An argument could be made that a presidential election in the United States does not deserve and never will deserve to be called a “rev olution 221;, but that determination is for future historians to decide. Time will tell.
