I halfway kinda wanted to see the weird cop show, “Life,” last night, but only halfway, kinda. Instead, I spent the hour bottling a little over three gallons of Georgy Porgy Molasses Beer using about half and half screwtop 12oz bottles and 12oz bottles capped with my shiny new bottle capper.
Yeh, yeh, I know: recycling screwtop bottle caps on screwtop bottles is supposed to be a no-n...... [Show More]
With a nod to the winter solstice - the year’s shortest day, occurring in late December - the placard reads, in part, “ There is only our natural world. Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds.”

final thoughts. Post Source: www.politicalbyline.com Posted: Nov 28 2008 08:47:43
Thanksgiving this year was as good as it has been here in the last few years. I still miss my grandmother and the great times we had at her house in Detroit. Those were the magic years, as I called them.
Not to get all misty eyed and such, but it does make one reflect a bit. We take so much for granted, and when it is gone; we are left to long for those days again. It is a sad thing; that bastar...... [Show More]

Yesterday was my first Thanksgiving post of the week. Just in case that slipped by you, I have a multitude of reasons to be thankful on November 24 every year, all tied up in the simple law of nature that states,
The uglier the man, the better the woman he ends up with.
Also stated as, “Beautiful women (also known as “gracious, kind, generous, thoughtful, etc., women̶ 1;).... .. [Show More]

No, not that one , though it may be featured in a post later this week. Thirty years, five months and ~3 weeks ago, my Wonder Woman had called me up from Twilight Zone, Colorado (she swears to this day that the town had never been there in any of her drives over that route and wasn’t there on her return trip) to say she’d been thinking over my “sug gestion 221; and de...... id say thats a problem Post Source: www.thirdworldcounty.us Posted: Nov 19 2008 15:24:37
Here it is, 9:00 on a Wednesday morning. I’m looking at a full plate of “work” to do (why the scare quotes? Because it’s all “work” I can approach as play… when I finally get off my fat… fundament and do it), and yet here I sit with four browsers open in three machines (one “real” and a couple of VMs hosted in it), with so...... Thanks for your endless patience.

I used to say (probably stolen from Lazarus Long *heh*) that you live and learn, or you don’t live long, but in today’s rubber-bumber society, that no longer applies. It’s be more accurate to say “You live and learn, or you don’t really live at all.” Or perhaps,
“‘A learning experience.’ The traditional three-word preamble to a burial...... [Show More]

For your debating pleasure: The Party Won’t Win Back the Middle as Long As It’s Hostage to Social Fundamentalists
In the wake of the Democrats’ landslide victory, and despite all evidence to the contrary, many in the GOP are arguing that John McCain was defeated because the social fundamentalists wouldn’t support him. They seem to be suffering from a political strain of Stockh...... [Show More]
The United Kingdom has been going to hell in a handbasket through a combination of political correctness run amok plus uniquely virulent Anglo-Saxon self-flagellation (Look to the beam in your own eye before you tend to the splinter in another’s, and all that).
