this weeks photo friday photo challenge topic is sharp . i took the photo below from the oak park train station outside chicago where my brother and sisterinlaw live with their children. ive always liked germanstyle halftimber architecture. of course in germany there would be colorful window boxes lining the windows.

its been a while since ive posted a photo friday image but heres a good one. we have bok choy growing in the garden right now. so far ive made fried rice and a chicken stirfry with it. both were great. we still have quite a bit so maybe ill use some in the potluck dish i need to make for the fall festival at work friday.

last year i attempted nablopomo i honestly did. and i made it just under two weeks before something shiney caught my eye and i went traipsing through the poppy fields.a

the first snow of the season. it began while we were at work and i jumped for joy. i simply adore the snow. and frankly had it not snowed and kept me home the next day i might have gone through with my insane idea to withdraw from school.
