South Park's primer on Mormonism
The Mormon Church has been busy recently, dramatically increasing its presence on the American political scene. With a candidate for the Republican nomination for president, a free-speech case in front of the Supreme Court, and a leading role in funding anti-gay-marriage legislation in California, the Mormons are exerting power and influence and might ...... In May of 2005, the Blog Herald reported on the case of Travel Golf Media , a blog and review site that covers golf courses across the country. The company behind the site site, two of its bloggers and its owner, Robert Lewis, were being sued by a Las Vegas golf course owner Billy Watson for defamation after the site had posted a series of negative reviews.

It is times like these where the great proverb, knowledge is power, rings truer than ever. Not power over others, rather the power to guide our own destinies. The decisions we make today about where to put our money and who to trust to deliver knowledge to our kids on important subjects like business , science , language and arts , depends also on the knowledge we have and share with others...... So at least the Republicans are consistent: First, they mortgage the nation’s future by cutting taxes for rich people and borrowing heavily for an unnecessary war, thus plunging the nation into debt. Now, they’re borrowing again for an equally dubious project: Electing some of their own members to the U.S. Senate.
For those keeping score at home, our very own U.S. Sen. John Ensign...... [Show More]

Although I am not the biggest fan of Lifetime movies, I can’t wait to see their new movie based on the book “Murder in Sin City” by Las Vegas Sun’s writer, Jeff German. Due to the fact that Sandy Murphy and Rick Tabish were actually found not guilty of murdering Ted Binion, the movie is more generically titled “ Sex & Lies in Sin City: The Ted Binion Scandal ....... This week the LVRJ came out with another round of polling. Now, it’s really hard to call it that as the polling samples for the CD-2 and CD-3 polls are ridiculously low, therefore leading to high margins of error at plus or minus 6 percentage points for one poll and 7 points for the other. What polling with such an error margin is supposed to tell us is beyond me.
